Kooky Creators
History has shown that some of the greatest innovators and most creative people were ridiculed, persecuted and even killed. Sometimes, only after their deaths did they get credit for their accomplishments. A concept or idea may seem so outlandish that the so-called experts discount them as "madness". For example, someone once said “The world is definitely flat”, and others said “If man was meant to fly he would have wings”. For a long time, scholars though the earth was the center of the universe.
Over and over again, artists and creators have struggled to improve our lives while the supposedly intelligent persons hampered the process all along the way. You will recognize. Some of the following examples:
* Braille
Louis Braille was the inventor of the blind reading technology now used all over the world. He never enjoyed his success because his invention did not become popular until after his death.
*Bach
The super composer never got recognition for his artistic ability until after his death
*Hedy Lamar, a famous actress and model in the past, was responsible for the creation of one of the essential processes which enables wireless applications to work properly.
Other innovators were just ripped off or paid very little for their ideas. Big corporations often just bury an idea or reap billions without compensating the inventor.
*At the age of 14, Philo T. Farnsworth envisioned the first TV. By the age of 21 his prototype was complete! His patent was plundered by the giant company RCA and it was many years before he got the credit he deserved.
Thomas Edison, Invention Wizard (from www.lifetips.com)
Known as the wizard of Menlo Park, Thomas Edison is one of the world's most famous inventors of all time. , he was often ridiculed for his ideas because they were just too radical for others to envision. He experienced many failures along the way – injury and disappointing experiments - but continued to strive to be the best he could be, becoming the inventor of the light bulb, motion picture camera and many more tools and devices.
Sometimes people just won’t listen, no matter how rock solid the evidence. There is a movie out called "Who the %#@@ is Jackson Pollack", the true story of denial within an entire industry, even when the proof was overwhelming: we recommend this film as a "good watch"
At Globond, we ourselves have been met with a lot of skepticism with regards to our Globond business and some of the opportunities within it. Not anymore!! We have decided to take a stand and reach out to other innovators and creators out there that are so good at what they do that others just don’t get it!
It is with real pleasure that we give credit for this realization to our new Globond member James Peck whose unique brain power has
Opened doors on new ways of thinking for us here at Globond. Because of his expertise We are giving james the title of "Globond chief Inventor"
Globond encourages and promote creativity throughout our community and beyond. Listening and imagining what could be ,while moving forward quickly through promotion of what will be. Our hats off to all the known and unknown creators out there. Keep up the good work!!!
